BB30 is a design where the bearings press directly into the frame and seat against cir-clips installed in machined grooves inside the bottom bracket shell. BB30 compatible shells have a 42mm inner diameter and have no threading. BB30 bearings have a 30mm inner diameter that directly fit BB30 model cranksets with a 30mm outder diameter spindle.
