The Otocon Race Mips brings new meaning to the concept of lightweight full-face protection. Whe highly ventilated helmet features integrated technology including Mips® rotational impact protection, twICEme® NFC Medical ID and a RECCO® Reflector to enhance safety. The dual-material liner balances durability and weight, bringing all-day comfort and protection. Features including the Race Lock integrated adjustment system, internal ventilation channels and removable cheek pads give extra comfort and security whether racing downhill or pushing hard uphill on an enduro transfer stage.

twICEme® NFC Medical ID
The twICEme® NFC Medical ID gives instance access to vital medical and emergency contact details.

RECCO® Reflector
A RECCO® Reflector helps rescue services easily and quickly locate you if something goes wrong.

Breakaway peak
A patented breakaway peak will snap off the helmet in a fall, enhancing neck protection. The smooth underside is shaped to house a GoPro mount.

Dual-material liner
EPP in the lower part of the helmet improves durability and sustainability, while an EPS upper keeps weight low.

Injection-moulded liner
The lower part of the liner features an injection-molded cage for extra strength and stability.

Removable breakaway visor
In the event of a fall, the visor with patented breakaway technology detaches from the helmet, improving neck protection. The smooth underside is designed to support a GoPro.

MIPS Brain Protection

MIPS is a low friction layer inside the helmet which allows the head to rotate relatively to the helmet in an angled impact. This substantially reduces rotational violence and the potential for damage to the brain. Collaborating with some of the world's leading neurosurgeons and experts, MIPS® has established that when you fall, your head most often hits the ground at an angle, creating a rotational shock to the brain. This rotational shock can cause strain in your brain. A helmet with MIPS® absorbs much of that rotational energy, offering you better protection. And if, against all the odds, you do fall vertically onto your head, a helmet with MIPS® will protect you just as well as an ordinary helmet.
