Shimano case and cables with Optislick technology.
Optislick technology improves the ergonomics and reduces the shifting forces by 20%. A further advantage of the Optislick technology is the high corrosion protection. Optislick is electrically coated to the stainless steel inner wire leaving a smooth surface for low friction and reduced sliding resistance. Outer casing is lubricated internally along its length with low-friction silicone grease to reduce cable friction. OT-SP 41 outer casing uses a special directional wound construction process made for an axially stiff cable that transmits shifting movements accurately and quickly.
